Here is a spiral galaxy about 37.000.000 light years away from us, NGC 5055 ( M 63), named Sunflower. Its diameter is about 98.000 light years, which is comparable to the diameter of our Milky Way ( 100.000 light years ). It contains a central disk surrounded by a large number of short spiral fragments, and a broad structure of spiral arms dotted with nodules of star-forming regions. They are interspersed with bands of cosmic dust and decorated with pink star-forming regions. Near the " halo" of the galaxy in 2011, a stream of stars was discovered, likely formed by the absorption of a minor galaxy over the past 5 billion years. The high-resolution image was taken by the Hubble Space Telescope ( NASA/ESA).

JWST Deep Field Data of the Abell 2744 Galaxy Cluster

JWST Deep Field Data of the Abell 2744 Galaxy Cluster named Frontier Fields self processed by Important_Season_845 on Reddit. Almost every source of light in the photo is a galaxy with the brightest sources of light and diffraction spikes being stars in our own home galaxy. Thinking of all the civilizations that may have emerged, leapt from star to star, galaxy to galaxy to fade away into the darkness. It saddens and humbles me that images like these and the worlds they show will most likely never be witnessed with our own human eyes, but to even be able to bear witness to the image, with light such ancient, traversing through space and time to be shown as a moment of time is incredible and I hope this moment of time makes us realize that our own differences are nothing but a mote of dust in a infinite cosmos.
